Software Engineer – Test Engineer (Full-Time) (m/f/d) – Heilbronn or Munich

We are Semorai, a young AI startup developing the Engineering AI Suite to support engineers and give them more freedom for innovative solutions. Our AI agents help, for example, to efficiently analyze specifications and sustainably optimize processes.

At Semorai, you work in interdisciplinary teams and chapters, enabling active knowledge sharing and driving innovation.

For our locations in Heilbronn or Munich, we are looking for you as a Software Engineer in Testing to ensure the quality, stability, and scalability of our AI platform and help expand it further.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and enhance a comprehensive testing strategy for our platform
• Select, implement, and optimize test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, pytest, Jest, Mocha)
• Set up, maintain, and monitor CI/CD test pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Analyze errors, logs, and test reports and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams
• Ensure high code quality, test coverage, and stable releases
• Advise and support other teams on testing strategies and testable software design
• Contribute to performance, security, and quality improvements

Your Profile

Education:

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical field

Technical Expertise:

• Solid experience with automated testing (especially end-to-end testing with Selenium or Playwright)
• Experience with common test frameworks such as pytest, Jest, Mocha, or Playwright Testing Library

Platform & Infrastructure Skills:

• Experience in building and operating CI/CD test pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps)
• Confident handling of containerization (Docker)
• Knowledge of test data management, test environments, and quality assurance

Software Engineering Understanding:

• Good understanding of software architecture, microservices, APIs, and interfaces
• Ability to design testable and scalable systems together with developers
• Basic knowledge in performance and security testing is a plus
