Software Engineering Manager (d/f/m)

As Software Engineering Manager at Entrix, you will lead and shape a cross-functional engineering team responsible for strategic tech initiatives from design to delivery. You will set direction, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality, reliable software that powers energy trading and grid optimization. You will drive AI-powered engineering practices, identifying where AI adds leverage and translating that into measurable outcomes. • Provide technical direction and ownership of design and delivery within the team
• Lead design discussions and give high-quality feedback to sharpen decisions
• Foster engineering excellence, quality, reliability, and speed
• Define and drive the team's AI strategy and adoption of AI tooling
• Coach engineers on technical development, performance, and career progression
• Collaborate with recruiters and leadership to hire high-potential candidates
• Identify and close skill gaps through coaching, hiring, and structural changes

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related tech field
• 5+ years in software development and 2+ years in leadership, ideally backend and cloud-based
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams
• Strong backend expertise (Python, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with IaC (CDK), workflow orchestration (WS step functions), observability tools (Datadog, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Grafana)
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude) and integrating them into engineering workflows
• Strategic cross-team coordination and leadership
• Ability to identify and manage complex dependencies across teams
