Software QA / Test Engineer (m/w/d)

Tasks

• Advise Development Teams: Advocate for test automation best practices and shift-left testing principles
• Understand Code Flow: Gain a deep understanding of code and data interaction across different components
• Translate Requirements: Interpret project documents, customer needs, and product goals to develop and execute test cases
• Maintain Test Automation: Set up, maintain, and execute test automation frameworks for Mobile, Desktop, and Web applications, building comprehensive test scenarios and acceptance tests
• Manual and Exploratory testing: Efficiently test new features with user experience in mind for on-time delivery
• Investigate and Report Bugs: Collaborate with the technical support team to investigate customer issues, test bugs, and manage bug reports
• Technical Communication: Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders and understand their systems thoroughly
• Collaborate on Product Design: Work closely with deployment teams, resolve system-level issues, and provide input on the testability of functional elements and product designs
• Document Testing Actions: Record all testing activities in daily and weekly reports
• Analyze and Improve Systems: Break down software systems for analysis and work with other teams to enhance overall design
• Research and Upgrade Practices: Stay updated on test tools, methodologies, and trends to continuously improve existing practices and processes
• Ensure Final Quality: Oversee the final quality assurance on production releases

Requirements

What You'll Need:

• Proficiency in Typescript and Cypress to create robust automated tests
• Experience with Load Testing using K6 or similar
• API Testing Expertise (GraphQL and REST APIs) using Postman or similar
• Solid Knowledge of test methodologies, techniques and approaches to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Good Understanding of risk-based testing to identify criticalities
• Familiarity with working in Agile/Scrum environments
