Software Test Engineer – System Verification (all genders)

As a Software Test Engineer in Ultrasound Workspace (Munich), you verify a complex medical software system in a regulated setting. You focus on AI-enabled features, ensuring safe and compliant integration into clinical workflows. You apply requirements- and risk-based verification to maintain traceability and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle. • Design and execute requirements- and risk-based verification for a medical software system
• Validate AI-based products by understanding data needs and AI model metrics
• Conduct functional, performance, load, robustness, and reliability testing across scenarios
• Verify end-to-end system behavior, workflows, and interfaces
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and verification evidence
• Assess change impact and sustain verification activities through the lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with FDA and EU regulations (MDR, IEC 62304, ISO 13485) and produce regulatory documentation
• Collaborate with Scrum Master, Product Owner, software development and quality teams
• Design, implement, and maintain automated system and regression tests
• Own test environments and ensure availability for verification and validation
• Drive verification efficiency and coverage through test automation

• Degree in a tech field (Computer Science, Biomedical/Medical Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering) or comparable
• 5+ years in software test engineering with a focus on system-level verification
• Experience with requirements- and risk-based verification and traceability
• Hands-on experience verifying end-to-end system behavior across multiple software components
• Experience in agile, cross-functional teams and collaboration with Scrum, PO, development and QA
• Experience testing complex systems with databases, networks, and external interfaces
• Knowledge of hospital IT environments and standards (DICOM/HL7; FHIR is a plus)
• Experience designing and maintaining system-level automated and regression tests
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus
