As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you’ll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey.

This role is within the German organization and you would be working with Enterprise SA TMEGS team (Telecom, Media, Entertainment, Game, and Sports).

Key job responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to accelerate their projects and recommend best-practice cloud architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes
• Drive technical solutions discussions with your customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical business problems and use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures
• Scope and own each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria
• Define and execute on the strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, Customer Solution Managers and consulting/managed services partners)
• Act as a thought leader in the wider community, playing a key role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops.

A day in the life

• Serve as a key technical member of the customer account team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform.
• Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
• Own customer facing technical engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solution architect community.
• Understand the AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Experience communicating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably German.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience working directly in customer implementations.
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
