Sr. Ignition SCADA Developer

What We Are Looking For

CSE ICON is seeking an experienced Ignition SCADA developer to work with our customers' SCADA systems and solve challenging technical problems. The work may entail SCADA administration and application development. Ideal candidates are familiar with field devices commonly used in the oil and gas industry (e.g., ABB Totalflows and Emerson ROCs), knowledgeable with oil and gas equipment such as tank batteries and salt water disposal systems, and well versed in the use of polling engines such as Kepware and AUTOSOL Communication Manager.

Responsibilities

• Administer SCADA systems
• Integrate various field devices with SCADA systems
• Develop and modify relational databases
• Develop custom software and scripts to work in conjunction with SCADA systems
• Interact with customers and users
• Create and execute test plans
• Gather requirements and design and implement related technical solutions
• Develop Graphical User Interfaces

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Engineering
• 10+ years of SCADA experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry
• Ability to read and troubleshoot scripting within the SCADA environment
• Familiar with oil and gas field devices and equipment
• Experienced with polling engines to connect to field devices
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills
• Experienced with SQL (MySQL, MS SQL, etc.) and relational database design
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office
• Strong knowledge of networks including network security and communication protocols
• Ability to travel, as required
