In this role you own the end-to-end database conversation for AWS in Germany, spanning legacy commercial databases to modern open-source and purpose-built systems on AWS. You will drive account-level GTM strategies and serve as the domain authority across technical and business stakeholders. You’ll translate migration risks and TCO trade-offs into compelling business cases for senior leadership while guiding customers through modernization and open-source paths. You join a cross-functional team that blends technology with business outcomes to shape AWS’s database roadmap and customer success.

• Own end-to-end database conversations from commercial migrations to open-source and non-relational architectures
• Define and execute account-level GTM plans for AWS database technologies
• Act as the primary database specialist within accounts for strategy, migration planning, and workload modernization
• Bridge technical and business stakeholders, translating migration risks and TCO into business narratives for executives
• Facilitate commercial database conversions by identifying migration paths and open-source alternatives
• Co-develop GTM motions for new product launches and influence database services roadmap
• Collaborate with database-focused partners and system integrators to scale migration and modernization programs

• Experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS selling to C-level executives
• Technical expertise in the database domain with knowledge of commercial databases (Oracle, SQL Server), open-source options (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and non-relational databases
• Proven ability to engage credibly with both DBAs/engineers and business decision-makers (LOB leaders, C-suite)
• Understanding of overall data and AI system landscapes at customers
