Sr Software Development Engineer

Senior Software Development Engineer (Medtech): Develop and maintain interactive mobile, web, and device-integrated applications for global clinical trials with an accent on integrating clinical data and customizing platform solutions. Focus on leading complex implementations, mentoring engineers, and ensuring compliance with regulated software development frameworks.

Location: Remote or hybrid from Budapest, Hungary

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain software applications based on clinical study specifications.
• Integrate device-collected clinical data with backend databases.
• Participate in development lifecycle decisions and project specification improvements.
• Lead or support complex custom implementations and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain coding standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues promptly.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work remotely from Hungary
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience with SQL, web application development, and clinical trial or healthcare systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ASP.NET, C#, Java, iOS, Android, C/C++, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, and related development tools.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban, or Waterfall.
