Stable Manager and Show Groom Wanted at Henri Ruoste's Gut Bertingloh

Overview

Gut Bertingloh in Menden, Germany (Senta Kirchhoff and Henri Ruoste) is looking for a qualified individual who can run stable management at Gut Bertingloh. The role may include stable manager duties and/or show/home groom responsibilities, with a team of five or six grooms and potential to expand the team.

Finnish Olympian Henri Ruoste and his wife, German Grand Prix rider Senta Kirchhoff, are seeking a candidate who thrives in a role of responsibility and can supervise stable management and/or serve as a show groom.

Responsibilities

• Daily care routines, feeding, turnout, blanket management, and conditioning support.
• Assist in pre- and post-ride care and therapy of the horses.
• Monitor health and well-being of horses; coordinate with riders, trainer, vet, and farrier as needed.
• Coordinate, supervise, and mentor a team of grooms; set routines and maintain consistency.
• Oversee preparation for a relatively light, well-planned show schedule, including packing and logistics with a calm, professional demeanor, even under pressure.

Qualifications

• Love for working with horses; ability to allocate the role as stable manager and/or show/home groom based on experience and commitment.
• Experience with daily care, turnout, feeding, and high-performance sport horses.
• Experience in a stable environment, preferably in a high-performance dressage setting.
• Willingness to travel internationally is a plus; a lorry license would be beneficial but not required.
