Staff AI Engineer, Robot Autonomy

The entire learning pipeline — from data collection architecture to action policiesfor dexterous manipulationand safe physical AI. You will work directly with the founders to decide what we build, how we build it, and what we prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Design, train and deploy end-to-end learning-based policies for home robots
• Ship autonomous robot skills to customers ’ homes
• Implement learning pipeline for distributed, continual learning on a robot fleet deployed in customers’ homes

What You Will Bring

You have depth in robotics and autonomous manipulation, and you've meaningfully contributed to the field - through open-source work, robots that did actual work, or publications.

• Taught physical robots to do tasks autonomously, end-to-end — data collection → training → deployment on real hardware
• Hands-on experience with BC, LfD, RL, DiT, RTC, VLA, WAM and solid theoretical understanding thereof
• Strong robotics fundamentals: kinematics/dynamics, control, ROS2.
• Strong software engineering skills
• High level of ownership, pragmatic system thinking, strong interdisciplinary communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms
• Experience with bi-manual mobile manipulators
• Experience with compliant actuation systems
• Experience building scalable ML systems
• Publications or open-source contributions in robot learning
