Staff Design Engineer, EU

We are seeking a software engineer who can design and build products with a focus on creating powerful and intuitive user experiences. The role involves tackling complex design challenges, expanding our in‑house design system, and consulting on bespoke solutions.

Responsibilities

• Redesign the mobile web application by gathering customer insights, wireframing new flows, and implementing these designs through our design system.
• Build flexible, composable components that enable other engineers to create custom auto‑completes with advanced filtering and creation options.
• Improve other engineers' designs, focusing on information hierarchy and scannability to help recruiters quickly parse candidate assessments.
• Collaborate across product, design, and engineering to research problems, write product specifications, and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in software engineering: debugging, abstractions, and fast learning.
• Experience with typed languages (e.g., TypeScript) is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable designing user interfaces and translating them into functional code.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and work with minimal process oversight.

Technology Stack

• TypeScript (frontend & backend), React, GraphQL API, Node.js, Postgres, Redis.
