Staff Requirements Management Engineer / Specialist (f/m/d)

In this role you own cross-project requirements management across the full semiconductor product lifecycle. You act as the subject-matter expert for requirements engineering, ensuring high-quality, traceable specifications across System, Hardware, and Software domains. You define governance, support verification teams, and lead RMPs and change management to drive consistency and scalability. You will be the toolchain expert for Polarion and DOORS, automate interfaces via REST and Python, and guide teams to optimize requirements processes. This position offers impact across multiple products and programs within Renesas’ embedded semiconductor footprint.

• Own cross-project requirements management across the full product lifecycle
• Serve as subject-matter expert for requirements engineering processes and toolchain
• Ensure high-quality, traceable specifications across System, Hardware, and Software
• Define and enforce governance, workflows and best practices for requirements
• Support verification teams to ensure coverage and testability
• Lead creation and maintenance of requirements management plans and artifacts
• Drive versioning, variant, and change management for requirements
• Provide guidance on structuring, decomposition and allocation of requirements
• Define and monitor KPIs and metrics for requirement quality and traceability
• Act as toolchain administrator for Polarion and DOORS including configuration and scripting
• Build interfaces to adjacent tool environments via REST APIs and Python
• Develop and maintain tool customizations using JavaScript and Velocity
• Enable efficient requirement exchange with stakeholders and partners
• Identify gaps and lead continuous improvement of requirements processes
• Support standardization efforts across projects and organizational units

• Strong expertise in requirements engineering methodologies
• Solid programming/scripting skills in Python
• Experience with REST-based system integration and data exchange between engineering tools
• Practical knowledge of JavaScript and Velocity scripting for tool customization
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
