Staff RF Filter Design Engineer (m/f/d)

In this Staff Design Engineer role at Qorvo, you will develop BAW and SAW filters for mobile RF applications. You’ll work with RF device experts across acoustics, SOI, and packaging to enable next‑generation filters and front‑end modules. The role blends design, simulation, and layout to deliver high‑performance components and supports production transfer. You will contribute to IP development and tool/process improvements in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. This is a chance to shape RF front‑end technology at scale and directly impact wireless performance.

• Develop BAW and SAW filtering components for wireless RF applications
• Assist product leads in feasibility studies and competitive analyses
• Design microwave acoustic devices using various filter techniques
• Perform acoustic and EM simulations using HFSS/AWR/ADS and internal tools, finalize device layouts for photomask
• Collaborate with process engineers and R&D to understand fabrication variations and capabilities
• Work with characterization and test teams to evaluate and diagnose devices with RF/Microwave test equipment
• Document design methods and transfer new products to production with other engineering teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design flow, methods, and cycle time

• Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent, including RF circuit design, EM simulation, layout, impedance matching, filter evaluation, RF characterization, and system‑level measurements
• Knowledge of circuit simulation, front‑end radio architecture, communication systems, RF characterization, microelectronics technology, and fabrication processes
• Extensive experience designing with HFSS, AWR, ADS, or similar tools
• Good communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently
