Garmin is a leading active tech company. The company develops innovative products for people who live an active life – from smartwatches and bike computers to airplane cockpits and marine radars. Founded in 1989 in Olathe, Kansas, by Gary Burrell and Min Kao, Garmin is today known for a broad, highly differentiated product portfolio in five different segments: outdoor, fitness, aviation, automotive and marine. Over 19,000 employees in 35 countries across the globe help Garmin customers discover their passions and live more active, conscious and healthy lives in line with the Garmin claim “Beat Yesterday”. In the DACH region, Garmin has offices in Garching near Munich (Germany), Graz (Austria) and Neuhausen (Switzerland). Approximately 250 employees work at these locations. The company also operates a research and development facility in Würzburg (Germany). A key principle behind Garmin’s success and its extraordinary product quality is the company’s vertical integration: with only a few exceptions, Garmin develops and produces its products and their entire technological ecosystem in-house. From innovative sensors to the Garmin Connect app, from concept, design and production to sales and customer support. We are successful together and you can become a part of it - true to our motto "Together in Würzburg with our colleagues worldwide".
