Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) - Logistics

Your new job includes

As a Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) with Focus on Logistics in Indirect Procurement, you will ensure professional purchasing of non-commercial goods and services by ensuring security of supply, availability and adherence to deadlines at an optimal price-performance ratio. You will focus on the categories freight and warehousing. This position is limited to 2 years.

In particular you will

• be responsible for the international freight purchasing for all modes of transport and warehouses and the associated negotiation of contracts in cooperation with Supply Chain Management
• implement the preparation, analysis and implementation of tender with electronic tendering tools and collaborate closely with the Supply Chain to also identify and implement potentials of optimizations and synergy effects
• be responsible for the independent preparation and evaluation of mass data and optimization of transport strategies with regard to costs
• optimize the supplier structure and implement the associated development of purchasing strategies, procurement concepts and the resulting measures to reduce costs and increase efficiency
• independently analyze procurement markets and carry out the procurement process holistically, from the offer phase and supplier selection through to contract negotiations and the preparation of contract documentation
• optimize supplier and risk management in coordination with the specialist departments

• A completed economics degree or sound commercial training with several years of professional experience in purchasing
• Several years of experience in Indirect Procurement, particularly in the categories of Logistics
• Business fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Confident handling of the MS Office package and ideally knowledge of SAP
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills
• A confident and assertive way of acting and you convince with a high level of social competence, which makes it easier for you to deal with different interest groups
