Structural Analysis Engineer (all gender)

Overview

Better engineering decisions start with better analysis. We are looking for an engineer to advance structural analysis capabilities by developing, validating, and improving methods, deepening understanding of structural behaviour, and sharing this knowledge across products and projects.

Responsibilities

you support product development by applying established methods while continuously improving them. This includes building FE models, interpreting structural behaviour, validating assumptions, and identifying better approaches. You do not only deliver results—you build engineering understanding and turn it into capabilities that strengthen future products and projects.

• High-quality structural analyses in product development while methods, models, and tools are continuously improved and validated
• Early identification and open communication of uncertainties, limitations, and knowledge gaps before they impact decisions
• Reliable delivery of commitments despite ambiguity and changing priorities, with strong ownership and initiative

Mission

Develop structural analysis methods: Build, validate, and improve methods, models, and tools that enhance quality, speed, and capability of structural analysis.

Own delivery through ambiguity: Identify obstacles early, take initiative, and deliver reliably even without clear direction.

Surface risks and uncertainties early: Identify assumptions, limitations, and knowledge gaps and communicate them openly to support better engineering decisions.

Build cross-functional trust: Align with stakeholders, integrate perspectives, and commit once decisions are made. Impact comes from adoption.

Challenge and improve methods: Explore new approaches, tools, and ideas to strengthen future analysis capabilities and standards.

Your profile

• Deep understanding of composite materials, laminate mechanics, and failure mechanisms
• Experience applying and improving structural analysis methods for composites
• Strong engineering judgement to evaluate simulations and derive conclusions
• Solid FEA and structural mechanics knowledge (load transfer, nonlinear behaviour, structural response)
• Research mindset and curiosity about structural behaviour
• Fluent English

Nice to have skills

• Scripting/automation (Python, MATLAB)
• Correlation of simulations with test data
• HyperWorks or similar nonlinear FEA tools
• German skills
