Responsibilities

Strategic development and management of our social media communication for the Education & Science area
Development and implementation of an independent social media strategy for the Education & Science area
Conceptualization, design and publication of creative content for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms
Writing audience‑appropriate copy, stories, Reels, posts and campaign content
Development of visual formats and design of graphics, presentations and digital media
Community management and interaction with our online community
Building and maintaining a network with Jewish communities, initiatives, creators and multipliers in German‑speaking countries and across Europe
Researching current topics, events and debates related to Jewish life, education and science
Supporting the public relations work of the Education & Science division
Organizational support for workshops, conferences and educational events
Participation in project management and assistance with administrative tasks
Preparing presentations, materials and documentation
Supporting the development of new education and research projects

Requirements

Currently enrolled student (Bachelor or Master), preferably in Communication Studies, Media, Design, Cultural Studies, Jewish Studies, Social Sciences or a related field
Jewish background and a close personal connection to Jewish communities (required)
Proven experience building and managing social media channels
Excellent German language skills, a strong command of language and enjoyment of creative writing
Creativity and a good sense for design, aesthetics and visual storytelling
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design programs is an advantage
Self‑initiative, reliability and a structured way of working
Interest in Jewish life, educational work and socio‑political issues
Enjoy developing ideas independently and taking responsibility

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in social media strategy development and management, with a strong focus on creative content creation and community engagement within the Education & Science sector. Proficient in visual design and communication, particularly in relation to Jewish communities and socio‑political issues.
