Subcontractor Programme Manager

In this role at GMV, you will lead the setup and management of programme consortiums, engaging subcontractors and partners to deliver complex projects. You’ll own contract negotiations, execution, and ongoing commercial relationships to ensure successful delivery. You’ll oversee the full programme lifecycle, including schedules, risks, compliance, and payment milestones, while guiding technical reviews and stakeholder alignment. You will work with engineering teams to flow down requirements and drive cross-functional governance. This is an opportunity to shape space programmes across international teams from GMV’s German offices.

• Establish and manage programme consortiums with subcontractors and partners
• Lead contract negotiation, execution, and ongoing commercial relationships
• Oversee the full programme lifecycle: schedules, risks, deliverables, compliance, contractual obligations, payments
• Provide programme leadership and governance to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery and regulatory compliance
• Support engineering in flow-down and management of technical requirements; facilitate design reviews
• Coordinate project reviews, technical meetings, progress reviews, audits, and stakeholder engagement
• Act as primary interface with subcontractors and consortium partners; monitor performance and drive outcomes
• Ensure robust programme reporting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement throughout execution

• At least 5 years' experience in systems and software engineering within space or similar domains
• Proven project/technical management experience with Systems/SW engineering methodologies and standards
• Experience on Space Ground Control or Navigation projects
• Management and leadership skills
• Ability to understand, review and negotiate contractual terms
• PMP or similar qualifications (valued)
• Working knowledge of a third EU language (e.g. Spanish, French)
