Supplier quality engineer - cables (m/f/d)

In this role you drive the introduction and production readiness of complex V93000 cable assemblies within Advantest, ensuring quality and reliability across an outsourced supply chain. You will build and share expertise on cable assembly design, collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, and marketing teams, and lead supplier qualification and process improvement initiatives. Your work directly impacts manufacturability, cost, and timeliness in a global environment. This position offers a chance to shape high‑reliability interconnect solutions for semiconductor testing.

• Bring new complex V93000 cable assemblies into production on time
• Assure manufacturing, quality and reliability across outsourced supply chain
• Develop, maintain and share expertise on cable assembly design
• Select suppliers and conduct qualification through analyses and process audits
• Manage quality, product changes and technical supply chain processes
• Implement preventive quality measures at external suppliers
• Drive process optimization, cost reduction and quality improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Supply Chain, Product Marketing and global support teams

• Bachelor/Master degree in electronic engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of connectors, cables and failure mechanisms
• Broad experience in cable manufacturing processes
• External auditor experience
• Strong ownership in failure identification and data analysis
• Pro-active problem solver with ability to define schedules and meet timelines
• Good communication skills and team player in English and German
• Willingness to travel 10-20% of time
