Supplier Quality Engineer - VZ/TZ

Responsibilities

• Supplier Quality Management: Perform supplier quality risk assessments and classifications; prepare, negotiate, and implement Quality Assurance Agreements based on supplier risk classification; define requirements for receiving inspections and participate in sample approval with Supply Chain and R&D; analyze and evaluate supplier quality performance and contribute to supplier performance evaluations with Procurement; assess and handle supplier change requests; perform and manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities with Procurement and R&D to ensure supplier readiness and compliance with BD specifications; manage sorting activities related to supplier quality rejects; maintain compliance on supplier quality activities for all sourced suppliers.
• Audit & Compliance: Participate in supplier audits in accordance with ISO 9001; follow up on non-conformities and CAPAs related to quality processes.
• Documentation & Controls: Support document control processes including issue, approval, review, and retention of quality-related documents; ensure outsourced services are executed per internal procedures.
• Training & Awareness: Promote quality awareness across teams and ensure adherence to BD’s Quality Management principles.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated environment.
• Proven experience with problem-solving methods (CAPA, 8D, 5W, Ishikawa).
• Experience with auditing techniques and supplier management.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Desirable Skills

• Fluent in German and English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Familiarity with measurement equipment and inspection tools.
