Supplier Relationship Manager, Key Technology

The role is Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) for the Key Technology Commodity. The SRM will own supplier relationships for the assigned supplier group within the Key Technology Commodity category, support strategy formulation and execution, and work under the Sr. Key Technology Commodity Manager. The position is part of the Integrated Supply Chain Organization and will be located onsite in Portsmouth, UK or Bad Kreuznach, Germany.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

Manage supplier relationships (40%): identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, attend supplier meetings/visits, maintain strong relationships with key suppliers via SBRs, collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality), negotiate and manage contract administration, improve Supplier OTD, and support site inventory target management.
Lead project management (30%): develop and execute cost‑saving projects, own strategic sourcing visual management (DVM), stay updated on emerging technologies/materials/best practices in key tech commodities, monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings, or risk mitigation, partner with Supplier Quality on supplier qualifications (FAIR, PPAP, etc.), and optimize supply chain design to align with DMS principles and IMAG.
Handle internal and external customer relationships (15%): collaborate with Ops, R&D, Engineering, Quality, Sales, Product Management, support external customers as needed, and drive on‑time delivery.
Execute strategy (15%): deliver the Key Technology Commodity strategy, maintain dual/multi‑sourcing to avoid single source dependencies, and support new product development sourcing strategies.
Travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 30%).

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
3+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supplier relationship management with a focus on Key Tech commodities.
Strong knowledge of the Key Tech market, including materials, processes, pricing dynamics, and supplier landscape.
Proven track record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and improving supplier performance.
Ability to travel 30% internationally.
