Supply Chain Management Specialist / Transport Logistics (m/f/d)

In this role you coordinate the end-to-end movement of goods across borders, aligning with internal teams and partners to maintain on-time delivery and cost efficiency. You will shape transportation plans, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with industry standards to support Isar Aerospace’s mission of sustainable, faster access to space. You drive process improvements and ensure documentation and traceability across land, sea, and air freight. This is a hands-on role that connects logistics with our broader space mission and customer delivery goals.

• Plan, direct, and coordinate national and international transportation, storage, and distribution
• Schedule transportation services and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery
• Select transport modes and coordinate with carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders for land, sea, and air freight
• Explain and negotiate contract terms with drivers and vendors to secure favorable agreements
• Generate, process, and maintain transportation documents and invoices for full traceability and audits
• Track transportation budgets, costs, and performance of service providers
• Develop and maintain transportation policies and procedures ensuring regulatory compliance
• Establish priorities and allocate resources for efficient operations
• Maintain schedules and deadlines for all transport activities
• Collaborate with loading and warehouse teams to optimize logistics processes

• Bachelor in Supply Chain Management
• Proven experience in transport organization, logistics, or international freight purchasing
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry standards (land, sea, air)
• Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management
• Solid knowledge of customs, exim processes, export control, and handling of dangerous goods
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with deadline-driven focus
• Analytical mindset with attention to cost optimization
• Effective English communication (written and spoken)
