In the Supply Chain CE Marine Bulk department, we are responsible for the transport of liquid chemicals in tank containers, barges, and seagoing vessels, and handle tank management for numerous products.

For our location in Hamburg, we are looking for a Supply Chain Operations Manager (m/f/d) . Do you enjoy organizing transports and put service to customers and suppliers first?

• In this function, you will be responsible for communicating with suppliers, warehouses, customers and logistics service providers of HELM AG. You will also be responsible for visiting these partners on short business trips.
• You will be responsible for tank terminal management, all survey activities and the transport of liquid chemicals in ocean-going vessels and barges. The preparation and dispatch of call-off confirmations to our customers, the call-off at our suppliers as well as the commissioning and monitoring of transports, customs stocks and warehouse stocks are your main activities.
• You are always in contact with colleagues and form an interface with the Product Management of the Chemicals Business Unit as well as the internal service departments.
• You will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as the preparation and execution of monthly and annual financial statements or the processing of insurance claims.
• You are a team player and also like to contribute to project work for the further development of the business unit.

Your profile:

• You have completed commercial or logistical vocational training with proven experience in order and transport processing.
• You have already acquired technical understanding and knowledge of transports by sea or inland waterway vessels in a similar task. Ideally, you are familiar with working with hazardous goods requirements.
• You have fluent written and spoken English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage.
• You are proficient in common IT applications such as the MS Office package, ideally you have experience with SAP.
• In a team, you act as an open and team-oriented contact person. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and working on possible problems in a solution-oriented manner. You are also flexible and can quickly adapt to new conditions.
