Survey Engineer

The Role

In this position, you will work primarily in a technical office environment and play a key role in the geometric design and optimisation of transport routes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing alignment and route designs for road and railway projects
• Carrying out track geometry feasibility studies and option analyses
• Track geometry processing, including integration of switches/turnouts
• Producing alignment plans, turnout height designs, and technical sketches
• Reviewing and optimising existing route and alignment plans
• Working with railway network and surveying data
• Calculating and analysing geodetic data
• Collaborating closely with project managers, designers, and external partners
• Ensuring data is prepared and documented accurately and on schedule

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or vocational training in surveying, geodesy, geomatics, geoinformatics, engineering, technical drafting, mathematics, or a related discipline
• Experience in alignment design, route planning, and/or construction detailing
• Railway project experience is highly desirable
• Familiarity with recognised surveying methods and alignment standards

Languages

• Fluent German
• English skills are beneficial
