System Engineer Safety (m/f/d)

As the central authority for functional safety, you will ensure the operational reliability and conformity of highly complex systems that must meet the highest safety standards under extreme operating conditions in the defense environment. Your responsibilities will include advising and supporting project and product teams on all aspects of system and product safety; conducting system analyses to identify hazards, risks, and appropriate countermeasures; evaluating safety concepts and architectures in the context of overall system requirements; deriving safety requirements for hardware, software, and mechanics from customer requirements and analyses; creating safety documentation relevant to development and release processes; monitoring processes to ensure compliance with defined safety objectives; participating in the planning, validation, and verification of products, as well as evaluating the results; conducting impact analyses for product changes and improvements; managing safety-relevant interfaces with customers, suppliers, partners, and auditors; continuously developing internal methods for implementing relevant safety standards; and participating in higher-level expert committees and working groups.

• Successfully completed technical studies in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or computer science
• First practical experience in the application of the Product Safety Act
• Knowledge of SysML/UML as well as modern software development and testing methods
• Proficient use of common analysis tools and fundamental knowledge of quality and configuration management
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Strong ability to translate normative specifications into concrete project requirements
• Experience in moderating interdisciplinary teams and strong assertiveness
• Strong problem-solving skills, conflict resolution abilities, and willingness to travel worldwide.
