Job Overview

Client Solution Architects (CSA) is seeking a System Integration Engineer II to support a program at Grafenwoehr, Germany. This position is full‑time.

CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to the defense and federal sector for nearly 50 years, deploying experienced teams, innovative tools, and proven processes across a range of environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide system administration for constructive simulations and gaming models, including maintaining Windows 10/11 workstations, Windows Server 2012R2/2019/2022, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers/workstations; apply software updates, patches, and baselines.
  • Work from specifications and installation documentation to develop or modify operating system applications.
  • Administer simulation systems in Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC‑G) architectures.
  • Operate software in distributed architectures for Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) environments.
  • Handle technical operations, setup, teardown of servers, systems, and integration tools; maintain RMF compliance; provide input to exercise design and technical planning.
  • Create constructive simulation and gaming simulation databases.
  • Configure and manage Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS) including ADSI, AFATDS, EMT, AMDWS, DCGS‑A, JBC‑P, MMC‑S, TAIS, GCCS‑A, TCCS, CPOF, MCIS, CPCE, and JADOCS.
  • Integrate simulation and Combat Training Center instrumentation systems.
  • Support exercise and training event design, planning, preparation, and evaluation.
  • Test beta and new simulation software, integration tools, and simulation federations.
  • Administer simulation software such as JLCCTC, LOTS, JCATS, JECS, and DXTRS.
  • Integrate simulation data using DIS or HLA protocols to stimulate mission command systems.
  • Provide technical integration solutions and recommendations for exercises, including Sim‑Stim architectures.
  • Create constructive, mission‑command interface, and gaming simulation databases for exercises or testing.
  • Provide system administration and support for the Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE).
  • Support preparation, execution, pre‑exercise setup, and post‑exercise recovery and reset of all facilities, workstations, work areas, TOC Pads, and training areas to original configurations.
  • Participate in training, seminars, conferences, exercise planning events, site surveys, and support planning and product development as needed.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active U.S. Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of related experience, OR associate’s degree plus 7 years, OR IAM II certification or higher plus 7 years of recent experience, OR 11 years of related experience.
  • Valid CompTIA Security+ or higher Information Assurance certification as per DoDM and DoD Cyber Workforce Framework.
  • Outstanding work ethic and personal integrity.
  • Superior analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to document and update processes.
  • Ability to perform tasks under deadlines.
  • Ability to work with senior government and industry leaders.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days up to 4 weeks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations throughout the USAREUR‑AF Theater in Europe and Africa.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in installing and configuring Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience creating constructive, battle‑command interfaces, and gaming simulation databases for exercises or testing.
  • Experience with DoD modeling and simulation defense programs.
  • Experience configuring, operating, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining simulations and communications software such as JLCCTC, WARSIM, WIM, JCATS, LOTS, MUSE.
  • Experience in database creation for JLCCTC, JCATS, JDLM, JLVC, AFATDS, etc.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Enterprise Services including MECM, AD DS, AD FS, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Exchange Server.
