Systems Engineer - Low Observability Testing

In this role you own the measurement proof for aircraft low observability (LO). You will design and run RCS and IR testing programs, build in-house facilities, and supervise external labs to ensure measurement integrity. You’ll define verification plans, influence design decisions on a flagship aircraft program, and maintain a multi-year LO testing roadmap. You work across cross-functional teams to deliver repeatable, credible results that support program milestones.

• Build and maintain the multi-year LO testing roadmap to align with program milestones
• Specify, design and commission in-house LO test facilities (anechoic chambers, ranges, radar hardware) and calibration regimes
• Write master verification and validation test plans for RCS and IR at component, subsystem and full-aircraft levels
• Produce detailed test procedures ensuring consistency across campaigns, sites and suppliers
• Define statements of work for subcontracted testing and evaluate delivered data against evidence
• Trace signature results to underlying physics and test setups for robust attribution
• Coordinate with external measurement laboratories and scrutinise their data
• Support design decisions for the flagship aircraft program by providing verifiable evidence

• Experience planning and running RCS measurement campaigns
• Experience specifying or operating antenna/RCS test facilities (near-field, far-field, compact ranges)
• Proficiency with high-frequency test equipment (vector network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers)
• Systems engineering approach to verification and validation (requirements through test reports)
• Fluency in English and German for customer and engineering communications
• Willingness or ability to obtain extended German security clearance (Ü2/Ü3)
