Systems Engineer (MTR) Manheim, PA (Hybrid) up to $120K

Summary: The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple locations. This role focuses on maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable systems across on-premises, virtual, and cloud environments while driving infrastructure improvements and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Windows and Linux administration, virtualization, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Windows and Linux server environments to ensure performance, security, and availability.
• Support hybrid cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and on-premises technologies.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
• Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, identity management, SSO, and MFA.
• Apply security best practices including system hardening, patch management, monitoring, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide advanced technical support.
• Lead infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, upgrades, and technology deployments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure administration, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or similar virtualization platforms.
• Hands-on experience supporting AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.
