Systems Engineer Rockets Motors (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Establish the system level engineering and product know-how and technical capability to support the manufacture, integration and implementation of various rocket motors at the Unterluess Plant
  • Support the Product Managers, Project Managers and/or the Sales function in technical discussions and negotiations with clients, solution providers or the technology providers
  • Ensure the successful transfer of technology and know-how to support the process to industrialise the integration, assembly and testing process for various rocket motors
  • Execute the required System Engineering Functions in support of these programs. The SE Function shall cover the RM itself and the integration to a comprehensive rocket system
  • Develop the required system level engineering documentation to support the programs
  • Support the quality assurance and the Project Managers with investigations and data analysis
  • Participate in design reviews and technical project meetings to support the achievement of cost objectives and milestone schedules
  • Make presentations to local and/or foreign Clients during design reviews and other meetings
  • Write technical reports and make presentations to Management and/or Clients

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
  • Formal Training or proven experience in System Engineering in the rocket motors for missile product essential
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the development process of military products
  • Experience and an understanding of rocket motors and missiles essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a matrix-organisation
  • Good computer literacy, specifically in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) as well as familiarity with on-line collaboration tools such as Teams or Webex. Basic skills in SE modelling and RE tools.
  • Excellent reading, writing and communication skills in English is essential. The ability to communicate in German will be an advantage
  • The role calls for a focused, individual with excellent interpersonal skill and a high degree of attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
