Systems Engineer - Weapon Integration

Overview

In this role you drive end-to-end weapon integration for military platforms, ensuring safe, certified, and deployable systems. You work across engineering domains and with suppliers and customers to shape design, testing, and certification strategies. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver a coherent integration baseline and provide technical leadership through reviews and airworthiness processes. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence weapon system safety and interoperability in a Europe-focused program.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Steward the weapon integration lifecycle from concept to service release
  • Coordinate contributions from aerodynamics, structures, mission systems, electrics, safety and logistics into a single design baseline
  • Define weapon-specific design/analysis, including store separation and aerodynamic compatibility, and produce specifications and interface documents
  • Set test and qualification strategy; support rig, ground and flight tests and generate evidence for airworthiness and certification
  • Act as reference on weapon systems for customers and internal teams, resolving interface conflicts and guiding technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Integrated external stores or weapon systems onto a military platform through qualification or certification
  • Experience with V-model and standards (ARP4754A, INCOSE)
  • Proficiency with MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-810, DO-160
  • Experience using IBM DOORS or Siemens Polarion for requirements management
  • Ability to communicate in English and German; eligible for extended German security clearance Ü2/Ü3
  • Clear technical communication to engineering and management audiences
  • Cross-team collaboration across suppliers and internal disciplines
  • Ability to explain complex trade-offs and resolve interface conflicts
  • Systems engineering practice and V-model
  • Airworthiness and military certification processes
  • Store integration and weapon system architecture
