Tax Underwriter

In this role you will assess, structure, and underwrite tax liability policies for cross-border transactions within a leading global insurance platform. You will work closely with brokers, advisors, and deal teams as part of Europe-wide M&A activity. The position combines tax expertise with underwriting to manage risk on high-value deals and build strong relationships across Europe. A German-qualified tax lawyer with private corporate tax experience will leverage deal exposure to shape the transactional risk offering and career progression in underwriting.

• Assess, structure, and underwrite tax liability policies for cross-border transactions
• Review transaction documents, diligence reports, and deal structures to identify risk
• Lead underwriting projects
• Develop and manage relationships with brokers, law firms, and clients across Europe
• Collaborate with deal teams to support high-value M&A activity
• Engage senior deal professionals with clear, credible communication

• German qualified lawyer with 3–8 years' PQE
• Strong corporate or M&A experience with tax focus
• Proven track record leading on tax aspects of transactions
• Experience advising on cross-border deals
