Tax Underwriter

In this role you will assess, structure, and underwrite tax liability policies for cross-border transactions, working with brokers, advisors, and deal teams. You will lead underwriting projects and build strong relationships with brokers, law firms, and clients across Europe. The position sits at the heart of high-value international M&A activity, offering exposure to marquee transactions within an international platform. • Assess, structure and underwrite tax liability policies for cross-border transactions
• Review transaction documents, diligence reports and deal structures to identify risk
• Lead underwriting projects and coordinate with brokers, law firms and clients across Europe
• Engage credibly with senior deal professionals and manage stakeholder relationships
• Support a growth-focused, M&A-driven underwriting practice

• German qualified lawyer with 3–8 years’ PQE at an international or leading domestic firm
• Strong corporate or M&A experience with a track record in tax aspects of transactions
• Experience advising on cross-border deals and ability to engage senior deal professionals
• Proactive, driven, and capable of building relationships across brokers, law firms, and clients
