Team Lead AI Consulting

A leading European cloud and digital infrastructure provider is building a team focused on delivering secure, production-ready AI solutions for enterprise customers.

They are looking for a Team Lead AI Consulting to combine technical leadership, customer delivery and responsibility for growing the team.

This is a player-coach position for someone who wants to remain close to the technology while hiring, mentoring and leading AI consultants and engineers.

Your responsibilities

• Build and develop a team of AI consultants and and engineers
• Own workforce planning, candidate interviews, hiring and onboarding
• Lead customer projects from discovery and architecture through to production
• Translate business requirements into practical AI strategies and technical roadmaps
• Design solutions involving generative AI, LLMs, RAG and agentic workflows
• Establish standards across evaluation, observability, security and governance
• Advise customers on cloud architecture, data sovereignty and responsible AI
• Work closely with engineering, product, sales and senior stakeholders
• Support technical workshops, solution proposals and pre-sales activities
• Ensure projects deliver measurable customer and business outcomes

What you’ll need

• Proven experience in AI consulting, solutions architecture or technical delivery
• Previous responsibility for leading, hiring and developing technical teams
• Experience delivering AI or generative AI solutions in enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, AI agents and model evaluation
• Understanding of MLOps, cloud-native architecture, APIs and Kubernetes
• Experience taking AI solutions from proof of concept into production
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder-management skills
• The ability to balance technical quality with commercial priorities
• Professional German and English language skills
• Experience working for a cloud provider, technology consultancy or managed-service business
• Knowledge of European data sovereignty and regulated environments
• Experience with open-source models and sovereign AI platforms
• Familiarity with GPU infrastructure, model serving and inference optimisation
• Experience contributing to proposals and commercial negotiations
