You will be part of the Product Division in the Directorate Digital Euro, which is part of the ECB’s Directorate General Market Infrastructure and Payments. Our Directorate leads the implementation and rollout of the digital euro. For more information about the digital euro project, please visit the hub page on the ECB’s website.
In our Division, we are currently working on defining and developing the digital euro product for consumers, merchants and intermediaries, as well as designing both the offline and online functionalities. The Division also explores innovative solutions in collaboration with private sector partners and develops the strategic roadmap that will guide the transition from the pilot phase to the full product launch.
In your role as Team Lead for digital euro online use cases, you will manage the team working to define the digital euro online use cases, including standards and requirements for peer-to-peer, point-of-sale and e-commerce digital euro payments as well as ATM transactions involving digital euro. The team also supports the agile development of the digital euro platform, assuming the business owner role for some of its components.
You will also interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. This includes close engagement with external standard owners and constant alignment with the other teams in the digital euro team to further refine the design of the digital euro product and translate the requirements into functional and technical specifications.

Temporary appointments may be extended or made permanent subject to organisational needs and budgetary constraints. This may result in a staff member with a non-convertible fixed-term contract being offered a convertible contract in accordance with the ECB Conditions of Employment.
