Description

Upway is a fast growing startup building the largest marketplace for refurbished e-bikes globally. We have refurbished over 100,000 e-bikes in just four years and are growing fast! We are looking for a Team Lead – Ops Specialist to oversee and guide our Operations Specialist team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards in e-bike refurbishment and repair. As Teamlead you are the go-to expert for questions regarding the Inbound Moments, during Shipping or process improvements. Additionally, you will be responsible for fostering a positive team culture, ensuring workflow efficiency, and maintaining top-tier quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentor : Provide hands‑on guidance, training, and support to a team of Ops Specialist, ensuring continuous skill development and high performance.
• Workflow & Efficiency : Oversee day‑to‑day operations, optimizing processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to service timelines.
• Quality Control : Ensure every refurbished e‑bike meets Upway’s rigorous quality standards before it reaches customers.
• Problem Solving & Innovation : Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
• Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with cross‑functional teams (e.g. Mechanics and Customer service) to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
• Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure all safety protocols and workshop best practices are adhered to, promoting a safe and organized work environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Previous team management experience, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing team members.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• A passion for sustainable mobility and a customer‑first mindset
• Willingness to work in a team in a fast‑paced environment
• PC skills (Email, Office etc.)
• You have good knowledge of English (German is a plus)
