Team Lead Quality & Reliability Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• You lead a highly technical, cross-functional team of four engineers across validation testing, reliability engineering, and test equipment development
• You act as the ultimate technical authority for assessing product development risks and defining engineering mitigation actions
• You drive hardware reliability across the entire product lifecycle by implementing a proactive physics-of-failure approach
• You oversee the certification strategy and ensure a predictable and efficient certification process from start to finish
• You coordinate with external certification laboratories and relevant compliance bodies to achieve project milestones on time
• You establish and implement reliability methodologies such as HALT and HASS to improve product robustness
• You lead deep technical investigations into issues arising during product development and from products in the field
• You define and document product validation plans, test strategies, and test coverage based on industry best practices
• You plan and coordinate all product validation and test development activities, including cost estimation and resource allocation
• You mentor and support a team consisting of development-focused quality engineers and test development specialists
• You translate stress-testing results into actionable design improvements that enhance product reliability
• You guide the team through complex root-cause analyses and technical troubleshooting activities
• You collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure effective cross-functional communication and problem-solving
• You balance ambitious product delivery timelines with high quality and reliability standards through pragmatic leadership

Your Profile

• You have a strong, hands-on engineering background in mechanical, electrical, systems engineering, or a related discipline, supported by extensive practical "on-the-bench" experience
• You have proven expertise in implementing HALT and HASS testing methodologies and can translate stress-testing results into tangible product design improvements
• You possess exceptional skills in engineering investigations and root-cause analysis, enabling you to lead teams through complex technical troubleshooting processes
• You are able to communicate effectively across disciplines and understand the perspectives and technical language of mechanical, electrical, and software test engineers
• You have experience leading small engineering teams with a collaborative and supportive leadership style while maintaining high quality standards and meeting product delivery timelines
