Team Lead Strategy & Fleet (m/f/d)

The Business Development department is responsible for driving the strategic growth of Lufthansa Cargo and ensuring its long-term competitiveness. It identifies market opportunities, develops innovative business models, and supports key projects in areas such as strategy, fleet management, and organizational development. Additionally, the department oversees M&A and Subsidiary Management.

Tasks

Your tasks at a glance:

• You shape the strategic direction and growth targets of Lufthansa Cargo by analyzing market and location potentials, market data, and trends, identifying business opportunities at an early stage, and developing decision papers for top management up to board level
• You derive strategic initiatives and recommendations from in-depth analyses, manage them within a complex stakeholder environment, and drive topics through to decision
• You evaluate and structure M&A options for Lufthansa Cargo and its subsidiaries
• You drive strategic fleet planning in close coordination with Group units and bring key topics to decision readiness
• You act as a sparring partner for management in refining the corporate strategy

Requirements

What you need to bring:

• Completed Master’s degree (e.g. business administration, industrial engineering or similar), or MBA
• 6 years of relevant professional experience in strategy, business development or comparable fields as well as proven leadership experience
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills; confident presence
• Strong strategic and conceptual thinking with a cross-functional, results-driven mindset
• High creativity, innovation and decisiveness in dynamic environments
• Business fluency in English and German
