Team Leader Accounting

Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany (near Frankfurt) | 3 days/week on-site | 6-month contract

On behalf of our client, a leading European service provider in the medical technology sector, we are looking for a freelance, hands‑on accounting professional to join their central finance team on an interim basis (6 months). This is a hands‑on role rather than a people‑leadership position, with a team of 1–2 people.

Your responsibilities

• Performing and coordinating ongoing accounting processes through to the annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS, including ongoing group reporting to group and parent companies, for entities both in Germany and abroad
• Conducting commercial analyses; preparing and contributing to budgets and forecasts

What you bring

• A completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, auditing, or controlling
• Several years of relevant hands‑on experience in accounting or controlling
• Good knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards; very good command of English
• An independent, process‑oriented, and efficient way of working — comfortable picking up ownership quickly
• Confident use of SAP (preferably S/4HANA) and MS Office applications
