Team Leader Laboratory - Quality Assurance

The team leader is responsible for the technical and organizational management of the laboratory/quality assurance, plans, organizes and monitors activities/processes, personnel and equipment and ensures that the work is carried out in a technically correct, smooth, compliant and timely manner. The team leader ensures that quality control policies, procedures, processes, and systems meet customer standards and/or individual quality requirements. Furthermore, the team leader ensures that all subordinate employees comply with safety regulations and live by them.

Key Accountabilities

Personal

• Responsible for technical and organizational management
• Organizes all operational aspects, such as personnel deployment, use of equipment, apparatus, hardware and software as well as documentation
• Ensures occupational safety in accordance with legal requirements
• Motivates and develops (training/further education) the subordinate employees
• Develops/produces sample orders (colour reproduction) according to the requirements
• Optimizes processes for efficiency and sustainability
• Operates sustainable knowledge management

Quality assurance

• Performing quality assurance audits in accordance with VA/standards and/or customer-specific specifications.
• Communication and documentation of the test and measurement procedures as well as their results
• Release and blocking of produced finished goods (BC/MC)
• Operation, care and maintenance of laboratory equipment and equipment (cleaning, sterilization, calibration, replacement of used parts)

Processes

• Adherence to and monitoring of processes according to quality management (IMS)
• Maximizing efficiency and productivity in responsible operations.
• Consideration of the requirements of external and internal stakeholders

Occupational safety and environment

• Monitoring and control of hazardous materials (hazardous substances)
• Compliance with the company's environmental management requirements (ISO 14001)
• Ensuring hygiene regulations and cleanliness of the specialist department (5S method)

Communication

• Operate proactive communication within the specialist departments

Qualifications

• CTA, chemical technician, plastics technician or comparable training
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of the norms and standards for quality control
• Understanding of occupational and safety-related requirements
• Ability to work in a team
• Lean Sigma methodological competence
• Good command in english

The position offers an annual gross salary ranging from €50.000 to €60.000, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, in addition to the benefits provided for the role.
