About the Job

• Guaranteeing reliable, high-performance and secure database operation as a platform for business-critical applications on-prem and in the cloud
• Technical and disciplinary management of several employees
• Responsibility for personnel and budget planning
• Implementation of resource, capacity and license management
• Creation and implementation of backup & recovery strategies as well as high availability & cluster concepts to ensure recovery time & recovery point objectives
• Definition, implementation and monitoring of appropriate concepts for data protection and security
• Collaboration with our national & international IT departments and external partners
• Project planning, coordination and implementation of national & international projects

About You

• Degree in computer science / business informatics or training with an IT focus
• Several years of professional experience in the database environment (Oracle from 11g and/or MS SQL from 2008R2), certification desirable
• Confident handling at Windows & Linux operating system level
• Experience in the technical and disciplinary management of employees
• Independent, responsible, structured and service-orientated way of working
• Strong teamwork and communication skills as well as reliability
• Ability to innovate and results-orientation
• Good comprehension skills and the ability to analyse complex contexts independently
• Good knowledge of German and English
