Tech Lead & Product Owner - AI Platform (m/f/d)

In this role you own the architecture and technical direction of SIXT's central MLOps/LLMOps Platform, enabling 80+ data scientists and ML teams to scale GenAI applications. You shape the platform’s roadmap, review code, and contribute hands-on when needed, driving value for an international, cross-functional audience. You balance build vs. buy decisions, manage dependencies, and communicate platform capabilities to users. • Define and own the platform architecture and technical direction for the MLOps/LLMOps platform
• Make design calls, balance build vs. buy, and be accountable for the value delivered
• Review code/designs and prototype or fix when necessary
• Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog; set priorities and drive outcomes
• Lead agile ceremonies and facilitate technical discussions to reach clear decisions
• Represent users’ needs by translating them into platform capabilities and adoption strategies
• Manage dependencies and risks across an international stakeholder group

• Production software experience, ideally Python and infrastructure-as-code
• Ability to read unfamiliar codebases, review PRs, and contribute fixes or prototypes
• Proven track record as Tech Lead, Technical Product Owner, or Engineering Lead with backlog/roadmap responsibility
• Solid understanding of ML and LLM lifecycles and platform engineering
• Experience with AI-assisted development and applying it in a controlled, reviewable way
