Technical Architect - ServiceNow Developer (m/f/d)*

This role is part of the Corporate Functions Tower for Group Technology (IT 1.12), responsible for IT service delivery and key relationships with corporate and central units. It supports ITSM, ITOM, SAM, HAM, HR, SecOps, WSD, and AppEngine modules through ServiceNow and related platforms. The position focuses on creating, iterating, and maintaining technical and data architectures that enable optimal system performance, scalability and compliance.

Your job

• Serve as the primary point of contact for consultation with IT internal requesters, projects or business customers on the ITSM platform (ServiceNow) including its modules and interfaces.
• Verify requirements with the platform’s OOB functionality, perform gap analysis and propose additional OOB modules if necessary.
• Design and develop complex solutions based on requirements for ITSM, ITOM, SAM, HAM, HR, SecOps, WSD, AppEngine and other modules.
• Estimate effort for customizations, integrations, configurations and development work.
• Document technical instructions for day‑to‑day operations of new implementations or customizations, including effort estimation.
• Ensure system architecture supports business scalability and meets audit, compliance and security requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that meet customer needs.
• Perform application and service mapping processes and resolve errors.
• Review and modify existing ServiceNow CMDB patterns as needed.
• Enable, configure and operate discovery of infrastructure components.
• Develop and document automated discovery procedures, monitor logs and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead implementation, configuration and maintenance of interfaces and integrations.
• Create and configure reports, dashboards, schedules, access, permissions, credentials and other operational activities related to discovery functions.

Your profile

• University degree in IT, business information management or equivalent qualification.
• Experience developing and implementing ITSM/ITIL and ITOM processes and solutions, with deep understanding of the CMDB.
• ServiceNow certifications: System Administrator and Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM and core ITOM applications.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience as a ServiceNow developer.
• Advanced web technology skills (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and credibility as a ServiceNow expert.
• ITIL Foundation or higher (ITIL Expert preferred).
• Experience documenting requirements and turning them into successful solutions.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, ambitious, agile environment.
• Proficient spoken and written Business English.
