Technical Architect - ServiceNow (m/f/d)*

As Technical Architect at Munich Re, you will own the technical and data architecture for key business applications, primarily ServiceNow, aligning technology with business value and regulatory needs. You will lead IT product management for a portfolio spanning CP, RES, and HR, translating objectives into sustainable solutions and guiding lifecycle management. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders to balance demands, debt, and platform sustainability while driving innovation and operational excellence. • Assume IT Product Management for ServiceNow-based and selected SaaS applications, including strategy, roadmap, and value realization.
• Own the technical architecture and product management across a portfolio focused on CP, RES, and HR.
• Translate business objectives into sustainable technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Manage product lifecycle, balancing stakeholder priorities, tech debt, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with business owners to prioritize demand and ensure transparency with budgeting constraints.
• Provide strategic guidance on ServiceNow evolution and opportunities for automation and excellence.
• Represent architecture and product perspectives in governance and decision forums.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as the interface between business demand and technology delivery.

• University degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 5+ years in a fast-paced, global, regulated environment with hands-on software development, solution architecture and technology consulting
• 5+ years of ServiceNow architecture, administration, and development (Workspace Service Delivery, HRSD, App Engine preferred)
• Solid knowledge of cloud-based, service-oriented architectures with Microsoft Azure (ADLS, ADF, Databricks) and related APIs
• DevOps experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and code reviews
• ITIL certification is preferred or willingness to pursue
• Experience in IT Product Management, Demand Management, or Business Relationship Management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; English required, German desirable; willingness to travel
