Technical Lead AI & Platforms (100% remote)

As Engineering Lead you oversee a remote team of 5 engineers delivering complex AI and platform projects for enterprise clients. You own delivery from architecture to production, balancing technical leadership with people development. You work with stakeholders to translate requirements into executable plans and drive scalable AI platforms and cloud-native architectures. • Own project delivery including scope, roadmap, architecture, quality, risks, and timelines
• Translate business requirements into executable delivery plans with enterprise stakeholders
• Lead technical delivery from discovery through production deployment and scaling
• Design and evolve scalable AI and platform architectures
• Drive architecture decisions for cloud-native and Kubernetes environments
• Guide AI orchestration frameworks, agentic AI systems and distributed services
• Ensure engineering best practices across architecture, testing, security and governance
• Contribute to critical services, APIs and platform components
• Mentor senior engineers on complex technical decisions
• Lead, mentor and develop a remote team of 5 engineers
• Foster a high-performance engineering culture through reviews and architecture discussions

• Proven experience leading engineering teams while remaining technically credible and hands-on
• Experience owning technical delivery for customer-facing projects
• Strong background in AI Engineering and production AI systems
• Experience with Agentic AI and AI orchestration platforms
• Deep expertise in backend engineering using Python
• Strong Kubernetes experience
• Experience designing and implementing platform architectures
• Experience building or operating scalable AI platforms in production
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures
• Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or Redis Streams
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and distributed systems
