Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) Aerospace Composites

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

THE WHAT You own the full lifecycle of our internal COPV development projects, from initial concept and component design through prototype development and serial production. You coordinate technical and operational activities across multiple disciplines, challenge engineering assumptions, and ensure projects move forward with speed, clarity, and technical rigor.

This role exists to ensure that product development projects stay on track, technical risks are addressed early, and critical decisions are made before they become costly problems.

Your tasks in detail and by priority:

Manage the full lifecycle of new COPV development projects from concept and design through prototype manufacturing and serial production. -> Accountability: Own the project. Own the outcome.

Develop sufficient technical depth to challenge assumptions, facilitate decisions, and guide teams toward practical and robust engineering solutions. -> High Performance: Good decisions early prevent problems later.

Manage project activities, resources, schedules, and priorities while ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned on goals and timelines. -> Togetherness: Complex products are built by aligned teams.

Act as the central point of contact for development projects and ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of project status, risks, and required decisions. -> Candor: No surprises. No hidden risks.

Ensure complete and structured documentation of decisions, changes, requirements, tests, and project milestones throughout the product development process. -> Playfulness: Build systems that make future projects better and easier.

YOUR PROFILE

Must-Haves

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in technical project management or a comparable leadership role within a technical development environment.
• Experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams across multiple technical disciplines and stakeholders.
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to challenge engineering decisions and guide teams through complex technical problems.
• Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills combined with experience using project management tools.
• Fluent English (C1-C2) and a hands-on, proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as an engineer or product developer before transitioning into project management.
• Knowledge of composites, product development processes, cost tracking, process improvement, or experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
