Technical Project Manager | Munich (Defence / Autonomous Systems)

I'm running a search for a European defence tech company building AI-enabled, low-cost autonomous defences against asymmetric threats - on land, in the air and at sea.

Role

• Own end-to-end delivery of multidisciplinary development programmes spanning ML, computer vision, embedded systems and uncrewed platforms
• Coordinate engineering teams across several European sites
• Plan work packages, run schedules and risk, organise field trials
• Act as the bridge between engineering and external stakeholders
• High ownership, direct work with the founding team, and a mission with real relevance to European security.

Requirements

• Technical degree and several years of project/programme management on complex hardware-software systems (defence, aerospace, robotics, automotive or similar safety‑critical domains)
• Strong technical fluency across software and hardware workstreams
• Experience with distributed, multinational teams in fast‑moving R&D
• Fluent English; German a strong advantage
• EU/NATO or close‑ally citizenship; security clearance process required
