Technical Sales Engineer (m/f/d)

Ideally you'd be with us in our Munich office, though remote within Germany works too.

Aqarios was founded to close the gap between quantum computing and problems companies actually need solved. Our aim is to make quantum genuinely useful for the hard, complex challenges that come up across industries. We work with large enterprises to do that, sometimes through Luna, our platform, and sometimes through solutions we build for a specific customer. We're a team of just over 10, spun out of LMU Munich's QAR-Lab. That means there's real academic depth behind what we do, paired with the day-to-day of shipping software that customers rely on.

• Running product demos and technical conversations with prospects across industries like logistics, energy, finance or manufacturing, from the first call to the evaluation
• Explaining our product and the mathematical optimization problems it solves, from what objectives and constraints mean for a customer's use case to where a quantum approach can add an edge.
• Covering the technical questions in sales conversations, so our engineers can stay focused on building
• Building our sales motion with us. Materials, process and pipeline are still taking shape , and you decide what they become
• Depending on your experience, owning deals end to end or focusing on technical qualification while the founders close
• You know the optimization problems of at least one of the industries listed above, and you're happy to work your way into the others
• A solid grounding in combinatorial optimization. You can take a customer's messy problem and talk about it in objectives and constraints
• Enough quantum computing understanding to explain the technology credibly and answer critical questions without overselling
• Experience in customer-facing technical work, whether that's sales engineering, consulting, application engineering or something similar
• You enjoy presenting and can hold a room, from engineers to management
• Nice to have: experience selling B2B software or deeptech, or an existing network in these industries
• You ask questions when you're unsure and take feedback well. Admitting you don't know something is genuinely fine here
• Based in or near Munich, or elsewhere in Germany if you work remotely
• German at C1 level or above, ideally native. Most of our customers are German companies
• English C1 or above
