Technical Specialist Customs & Export Control (m/f/x)

As an EASA-approved Design, Production and Maintenance Organisation (Part 21J / 21G / Part 145), we develop, build and support CS-23 certified aircraft, including the G 120TP and the G 115 family.

As part of Helsing, Europe's leading defence AI company, we are now building the CA-1 Europa at our Tussenhausen site, the first AI-enabled combat aircraft of its class to be built in Europe. Series production and next-generation programme under one roof.

Every component we ship crosses a border at some point. Dual-use goods, war weapons list items, ITAR-controlled parts, aircraft flying in and out. You are the person who makes sure it all moves, legally and on time.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyse aircraft components, equipment and accessories, and prepare the corresponding technical documentation

• Classify predominantly technical aviation goods (dual use, AWV Annex I, German War Weapons Control Act) under the customs tariff (EZT, TARIC)

• Maintain material master data for foreign trade and process documentation in SAP and Teamcenter

• Classify goods under US law (ITAR, EAR)

• Run goods classification across different national legal frameworks in large new contract projects

• Handle general customs and export control tasks

• Own the customs clearance and release processes across several domestic and international sites

• Manage clearance and reporting for inbound and outbound aircraft

• Classify products according to export control lists

• Carry out sanctions list screening and embargo monitoring, and monitor export control measures across all sites

Your Profile

• Completed technical training in electrical engineering or mechatronics, ideally with a background in aircraft construction or design (desirable, not a requirement)

• Several years of professional experience in the areas described above

• Further qualification in customs and foreign trade, ideally in classification and product classification (desirable, not a requirement)

• A strong eye for technical detail

• Analytical way of working and a feel for processes

• Confidence in dealing with customs authorities and other licensing bodies

• Business Fluent in English and German
