Technical Trainer (all genders)

The Technical Trainer will be responsible for the structured, certified qualification of our global Field Service staff on AIXTRON equipment at the Headquarter Training Center. The role involves planning and delivering hands‑on trainings from foundational courses to expert‑level certifications, ensuring operational readiness and high performance worldwide.

Your Challenge

• Use technical expertise and didactic skills to make complex equipment technology tangible. Plan, develop, and deliver training and certifications on AIXTRON MOCVD equipment, ensuring participants leave with proven competence.
• Develop certification standards, examination criteria, and structured qualification paths from Basic through Advanced to Expert level. Build and continuously evolve skill‑level matrices and training materials as an exciting design task.
• Be involved early in NPI (New Product Introduction) projects to provide appropriate training concepts in time for new tool variants.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues from Service, Application, Engineering, and Product Management to ensure cross‑departmental knowledge exchange and provide functional guidance to colleagues and co‑trainers.
• Travel to global sites (approximately 30% of time) to deliver on‑site trainings and certifications.
• Continuously question existing training methods and certification processes, driving improvements forward in coordination with your manager.

What you bring

• Hold a technical degree or technical vocational training and have at least four years of relevant experience in Service, Application or Engineering on semiconductor or MOCVD equipment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts in a clear and structured manner – the fundamental prerequisite for a trainer.
• Quality‑conscious personality; work in a structured, detail‑oriented way. Standards, examination criteria and traceable processes serve as your quality benchmark.
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; German language skills are an advantage.
