Technical Writer – Technical Author

Responsibilities

• Independently create operating, service, and assembly manuals for the entire JULABO product portfolio (series and custom products), taking into account the applicable standards and regulations
• Responsible for maintaining and expanding the authoring system (SMC) and the associated editorial guidelines
• Further develop processes and methods related to the production of technical documentation
• Drive innovative development of the area toward digital manuals (e.g., mobile‑friendly, interactive, connected, etc.)
• Coordinate content and schedules with the technical departments as well as product management, marketing and sales

Requirements

• Minimum: completed technician qualification and/or certified further training in technical documentation
• Career changers with relevant skills are also welcome
• Comprehensive methodological knowledge of the full scope of technical documentation is desirable
• Professional experience in technical documentation or comparable experience
• Affinity for the latest technological trends in relevant fields such as digital communication and media
• Native‑level German and good command of English, both written and spoken
• Independent, structured and goal‑oriented working style
• Good communication skills and enjoyment of taking on a high degree of personal responsibility
